Can you hear the silence?
The silence, the silence from those that ignore the gun violence!
As America continues to become number one with deaths due to gun violence.
As America continues to have children being murdered due to mass shootings…from gun violence.
Republican politicians do nothing to change the easy access to guns.
Republican politicians do nothing to help stop the carnage.
They sit high on their make believe thrones.
They shake their heads and shift the blame for the deaths of babies, of grandparents, of the innocent.
Mental health is not the problem.
Though it may be part of the problem.
The problem, the main problem, is on how easy it is for someone to get their hands on weapons of mass destruction. And that is exactly what an AR15 can do.
It can kill many in just an instant. Why?
Why do every day Americans need that kind of weaponry?
For what purpose outside of death and destruction?
Can you hear the silence?
Can you hear the silence!
The silence, the silence of gun violence. Because I hear it.
We hear it.
The loved ones of those silenced forever more from all the gun violence, they hear it!
The silence that comes from all those in political power that continue to chose to do nothing as so many continue to die.
Even those left behind die a little bit inside as they imagine the horror and the screams of those who died from gun violence.
Stop with the silence!
For the love of God, stop with the silence! Start doing your jobs by listening to those that voted you to the position you hold.
Stop with the silence!
Because we need more than your thoughts and prayers.
We need action.
We need change.
We need politicians to do what is morally missing.
To do what needs to be done.
So no more babies have to die.
So no more parents have to say goodbye to their little ones.
So no more breaking news of ANOTHER mass shooting has to be reported.
Aren’t you tired of all these deaths? Aren’t you ready for America to live up to its reputation?
How can we be the greatest country in the world when we can’t even keep our loved ones safe?
How can be so great, when kids have to live in fear?
I’m tired of your silence! Come together to stop all this gun violence.
The time is now!
Be a part of the change that is needed.
Or leave your political position behind as you are not truly for the people you serve.
Please, no more silence.
Please, no more doing nothing.
Please, please, please let’s say goodbye to gun violence.
