Alright folks, this gal is kicking cancer’s arse!
Ok, not me actually. It’s ALL God! For real!
I know that some people who may read this may not be Christians. Or religious at all. In fact, maybe you’re an agnostic or atheist. So, saying God is my strength may make you laugh.
I get that. Great thing about being a human is that we can choose for ourselves. We have an amazing awesome brain to believe in whatever we want…or don’t want. Free will?!
I have no anger or animosity towards those that don’t believe in a higher power. Or even those that make fun of us “believers”; though I do think it odd for people to make fun of us when I’m sure they don’t think it’s cool (or very Christian) for those to make fun of “non-believers”, I feel no one wins with a making fun of others mentality. But hey that’s just me. 😉
Ok, now this ain’t no sermon. Promise. Just wanted to share with you that it is my faith in God, as a Christian, that gets me through all that I have gone and am going through.
As one who studied psychology, and one to keep learning about it, I do also believe that the brain is a powerful thing. And so, I do believe my faith combined with my belief that the mind is a powerful thing is why I am always one to be optimistic. One to have a positive attitude. And well, hey, I do try to live by my name. Hope. 👊🏾
And I feel that sharing that on here could maybe give inspiration to someone reading this. Maybe.
No matter what, let me tell you. I know that I am still on this planet because of my faith. Surviving cancer is just one of many tribulations I’ve overcome, that God has gotten me through. And I hope to talk and write more about–in the future. And, yes, I believe I will have a (long) future.
Anywho, round two of my chemotherapy infusion was yesterday. And all went well. No complications during the treatment. Had a night of no nausea or vomiting. And woke up to a beautiful day, with no side effects–other than the constant (annoying) neuropathy, tingling in fingers.
So, that’s a wonderful thing! And I praise the Lord, fosho!
And wanted to share that with y’all! May it give you encouragement. May it give you HOPE that with God ALL things are possible. If we are willing to just take the small feats. The small victories. And this folks is a small victory. ✊🏽👆🏾🙌🏾
I’ll finish with a pic, to show this cancer won’t take me out. I’m gonna fight, fight, fight…and with a smile and record of this journey.
